"The bedrooms were clean and modern. The staff was welcoming and helpful and the free coffee machine in the lobby was amazing, offering various kinds of specialty and flavorful hot beverages. The location of the hotel was ideal, allowing us to walk to nearby breakfast spots and the waterfront shopping, restaurants and bars."

"Floor felt dirty, bed is extremely hard, there is no elevator for upper floors, we had an issue with our room key not working, but other than that ok"

"This was my second stay at the Spot. Be sure to book an ocean view room. The view is spectacular. My one disappointment this trip was that the ice machine is gone. Tip for guests: don’t show up before 3:30 pm. That’s when checkin starts."

"Breakfast was terrible. Breakfast sandwiches were kept in a fridge and you microwaved it. Dollar store pastry, auto machine coffee and watered down juice. Building and rooms are worn and need an update. AC was so loud we couldn’t sleep. We didn’t expect much due to star rating. The location and staff were excellent."

"The place is clean, quiet, and friendly. And yes, it is on the beach. However, the facility is basic and overpriced. It was like being in a barracks in the middle of a gravel parking lot."

"L'hôtel est trop cher pour le luxe qu’îl offre. Malgré une certaine volonté de rénovation nous avons constaté qu'il y a un manque de souci pour les détails. Fils apparents, tapisserie qui décole, manque d'ergonomie dans la salle de bain. Un bon hôtel mais surévalué."

"Excellent hostess Lili - a wonderful Soul. The breakfasts provided delicious. The Davis Brook Retreat such a serene place for rejuvenation. We spent majority of our time on chaise lounges in the back yard listening to the song birds and wind chimes. A wee disappointment was the pool not really heated. Nowhere in website did it say pool not heated. Managed to get into pool once but not for long - rather cold. Did use hot tub once also. Overall a lovely stay. Will go again."
