"I chose Glendale Express Hotel for its convenient location to the places we planned to visit for my husband’s birthday weekend. Unfortunately, the photos online do not accurately reflect how the hotel appears in person. Upon arrival, the staff was not very welcoming. We arrived a bit early for check-in and asked if we could leave our bags in the lobby area and use the pool while we waited. We were told no, since a room key is required to access the pool and keys are only issued at check-in. This was disappointing, as many hotels are willing to accommodate this especially for guests staying the entire weekend. We ended up leaving to spend time at the Galleria Mall instead. When we finally entered our room, there was a strong, unpleasant odor, and the bathroom smelled distinctly like wet dog. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The rooms are in serious need of updates, including the wallpaper, ceilings, flooring, curtains, and mattresses. Even the hallways had a persistent musty smell. Prior to arrival, we were informed in writing that housekeeping services were available upon request. On Saturday morning, as we were heading out, I requested that our room be cleaned. I was told there was no one available to clean it, but someone could remove our trash. This was surprising and disappointing. I asked that four fresh towels at least be provided when the trash was collected. Unfortunately, we do not plan to return to this hotel."

She went out of her way to help after midnight. -- Parking Stalls are vey tight and extremely limited (not enough for each guest even if it's just 1/1) -- Water pressure is downright awful for showers. Strong for baths, but the tub looks dodgy -- Soap is just a sliver in its sealed plastic bag -- Pillows are dreadful and painfully thin (even at three of them) -- Bed is in no way comfortable Other than the very kind night attendant, most definitely cannot recommend The restaurant next door (Foxys) is an absolutely must, however!"
