"Rooms were nice and clean, check in swift and staff friendly. Had the worst nights sleep of my life though. Had to move rooms at 12am as couldn’t get to sleep in my first room due to a constant drone sound from a pump in the building. Reception staff moved me immediately. Finally settled down in the new room only for the fire alarm to go off at 2am. I’m sure my experience would’ve been fine had it not been for those problems"

"This was one of the prettiest places we've ever stayed in. Breakfast was delicious and personalised, wonderfully renovated pub and hotel rooms. Staff were really friendly and great pub to enjoy a drink or eat in. Comfortable, quiet and extremely relaxing with added bonus of bath and sash windows which opened to look out at the front of the property. PERFECT!!"

"Everything was lovely, especially the staff! In the middle of a heatwave, AC would have been nice but that’s Mother Natures fault. Food was excellent, parking was easy and the surroundings were beautiful! I definitely recommend for a taste of old world charm."

"Firstly, All rooms need Air Conditioning units throughout because this week’s weather from Monday to yesterday was hot and an electrical fan in our room was inappropriate and non-starter. Please ensure Sudbury Hotel understands. Secondly, their duvet was too much for hot weather so they need to invest in thin togs for Summer and keep the thicker togs for Autumn and Winter months. "Bed was comfortable and breakfast very nice. Negatives - no air con on a very hot day/night and shower problematic. Couldn’t avoid getting hair wet, shower head too high to adjust and no soap in dispenser. Otherwise all good."

"My second time staying here and it remains a really enjoyable and comfortable base for Marlborough and the surrounding area. The room is big, the bed is comfortable, the breakfast is good and generous, and the people are responsive and accommodating. A good, relaxing option."

"The food was excellent - both breakfast and evening meal. Full fresh cooked breakfast included in the cost of the room. Proper Americano coffee served at no extra cost with breakfast! I had a glass of champagne with the evening meal and it was chilled, bubbly and perfect. "

"Friendly staff. Excellent food offering. Good location. A shame about my shower control falling apart and an extractor unit that looked as though it had seen better days. In the heat, the air conditioning in the room was excellent and very welcome. It would have been nice if it had operated throughout the hotel. I will be happy to stay there again"

"Fantastic stay between Bath & Stonehenge. Surrounding towns provide tonnes of history, monuments and pleasant hills. Great carpark and good showers. It was an unusual hot night and the room had a fan!!! Great staff, I recommend."
