"We had stayed at the hotel before and had booked again because we had a lovely room but this time we were put in a terrible room which was dirty and very poor in comparison to the other one we had stayed in. The floor was filthy and the sides of the bed were stained. The bath grouting was dirty. Paying over £100 for the room I expected much better."

"We had a lovely stay, great location. Staff were lovely and helpful. Improvments could be made. Family room needs better lighting, a fridge would be great as the milk went bad, the fan in the bathroom didn’t work so the bathroom was very wet after a shower, and the shower was extremely hot, no child would have been able to use it let alone an adult. But it does have good points. The improvements would make it a fantastic stay"

"If "Good enough" is good enough for you, the Coal Exchange will meet your needs. It is an old building with character so don't expect it to look or feel new. I don't think the room or bathroom got well cleaned but again, for me at that time, it was good enough. "On arrival, the receptionist were rude And talking over us once checked into our room 313 it was out of date stains on the walls and dusty plus the TV was hidden me under the pillar. She couldn’t watch anything anyway the sleep was awful. Mattress was prehistoric and the pillows were flat as pancakes and small then went down for breakfast. Breakfast buffet was cold. Bread was still and coffee took 45 minutes to actually get to our table after eating our awful breakfast"

"A big shout out to the staff which work here, very often you will stay somewhere and you’ll encounter 1 or 2 excellent staff with the rest just doing their job. This was not our experience at the Priory, every single member of staff acknowledged us with a friendly smile and an attentive attitude. We were a group of 4 and we all remarked how refreshing it was that we were welcomed and made to feel at home at the Priory. Keep up the good work and thank you."
