"This is a large hotel in the heart of the university. All roads are underground which is a bit confusing for a first time visitor, I looped around twice before finding the hotel car park. The hotel itself was reasonably pleasant, if a little dated. The room was spotless with a nice shower. However the hotel restaurant was too busy at lunchtime to eat there without a reservation. "We got delayed and arrived for check in with 2 young children close to midnight, the receptionist the not acknowledge us and left me waiting while he discussed something about not being told something with some other member of staff. This took more than 5 minutes. We just stood there while he had his little moan about not knowing what rooms had been cleaned while the other member of staff tells him that “He (someone else) always does that.” Not really any of my business on one of the hottest...

"The bedroom was great , lovely decor & a very comfortable bed BUT the bathroom was clearly in need of a major refurbishment - it was extremely dated and in poor condition - the shower attachment was in the bath but the tiled side of the bath was so high that I could not get in to have a shower. There were 2 sinks but one only had a dribble of water coming out. The finish on the tiling around the sinks and the boarding behind the toilet seat were clearly suffering from wear and tear.
