"This is a unique property in a cute rural setting. I could see how it’s not for everyone and it’s most definitely non-traditional. However, the setting is beautiful and the accommodations are adorable. Bed was comfortable, staff were pleasant; although for the most part we were on our own for check in, etc. No issues there, clear communication with directions and door codes were provided. There are indeed a number of ‘rules’ but I saw them more as a guide for how to use this special property...

"Not Worth it, Price Like 4-5 hotel. It Like motel. .Very noisy during the day and night, people are passing your corridor to go to lobby and dragged their luggages . NO elevator, I need to carry All luggages to level 1 downstairs. Staffs helpful and friendly. I booke d for 4 adults. bed like queen but a bit small. Shouldn’t be for for 4 adults. No kettle and you need to pick up all glass, tea and coffee in receptions., bring your own water bottle as well. "

"Fantastic historic older property, very well maintained. Great layout and superb location. Host was super nice. Comfy bed and linens. Plenty of excellent amenities. This is our new go-to when visiting Hilo. Highly recommend!"

"no ac so can get warm but fans were very helpful. tv not many options. parking fills fast always looking for parking when coming in late. room was decent. booked double bed got a single bed thankfully we were willing to sleep with our babies."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aaron’s Cottage. Our cottage was clean and well stocked with every amenity, coffee, coffee maker, toaster oven, dishes, and pots and pans. There is also a shared full kitchen for wider cooking options. The check in and check out process was simple and easy. We highly recommend Aaron’s Cottage and will definitely stay here again in the future."

"I understand this was an eco lodge. However, there is no air and little cross breeze. Our bed was broken, there were not enough towels (only 3 for 5 people), we were encouraged to shower by turning the water off while we used soap, the pots and pans were so dirty that some could not be cleaned. The worst was that the staff was unprofessional. They did not communicate effectively, they were dismissive about simple requests (like "how to check in") and once we did check in we NEVER heard from...

"Absolutely lovely property at the very top of a hill overlooking Hilo waterfront. The owners are very friendly and helpful if you need them. Otherwise, you never know they’re there. Perfect get away. Close to everything."

"This place is beautiful and charming. My self and my two horn h children stayed on the first floor in the large suite with two beds and a pull out futon. Unfortunately, the entire third floor was rented out to a family who were extremely loud. The children continuously ran around the floor and one evening the family had a party that was completely out of hand. I think the children were rolling pool balls on the floor and bowling with them. It was awful. Complaining did not cease the noise,...
