Hakone Kowakien
The hotel is a newer property with nice aesthetics. We stayed in a room with 2 double beds meant to fit 2 adults and 2 children (ages 10 and 12). Even by our British standards it was small. Prince Smart Inn Atami
Friendly staff and clean room with comfortable beds. Just a heads up that they will not hold your luggage after check out.

The Fujiya Hotel
Beautifully styled large rooms with excellent service all around. The gardens, onset and spa facilities were clean and comfortable; and well managed. The bakery was delicious but surprisingly, I thought food was average at the bar and Japanese restaurant.
