"The location is great, very close to all the nice shops on Exeter street, just across from the Boston Public Library. The staff were excellent, very helpful and polite. Be aware the hotel is an older property and they have chosen to maintain the same esthetic, so it has that old school hotel vibe. Bed was super comfortable, A/C was very cold, liked the pillow, had bathrobes, ironing board and iron for guest use. Big bathroom with a tub."

"This was an interesting hotel and if you have any experience of the raffles brand elsewhere then I would recommend be prepared. The venue is central but overlooking an 8storey multi story car park and rather cramp rooms was not really value add. The suite on the other hand in higher floors were. A butler system which I must say working off some mediocre phone prompts just doesn’t cut it . One looses the will to live when saying I need a shaving kit and al you get back is “is there something else...

"It’s old school and so are we! We loved the old world charm. We loved the noon check out even though we couldn’t stay that late. We never felt rushed that way. The property is very well maintained! They were even repainting the gold tipped fence finials in the rain the day we were there. The neighborhood is a gilded era dream. What we didn’t like: 1. "I was put in the wrong room initially but the front desk guy corrected it for me. The room was not the most comfortable the bed was kind of hard and the towels were stiff. I am not going to lie no I would not stay here again. Also they charged me $65 for one night of valet parking!"

"I had a poor experience with a lost item. I left my e-reader in my hotel room after checking out and called every day including the day I checked out. For a couple days, the staff would just tell me to call again the next day to check so I feel like absolutely no effort was being made to look for my item. Very frustrating uncaring attitude. I didn’t get my item back even though I’m sure I left it in the hotel room."

"The room was well-designed, efficient use of space with all amenities. I especially liked the fact that everything could be controlled with the Ipad. The hotel is centrally located within walking distance to shops at Newbury street and with the T right next door. The lobby was well designed with ample areas for lounging, dining or just spending time with other guests. I loved the vibe. I would definitely stay here on my next visit to Boston."
