"Nice location overlooking the sea though some rooms have terrible view at the back of the hotel looking through filthy windows and brown net curtains. Most of the staff helpful and pleasant. Food good. Basic rooms very expensive and very small. A bit tired. No fridge in room, no frills. Good breakfast"

"Room was clean and tidy on check-in but because it was very hot the room had no AC but they supplied a fan that did nothing to keep it cool. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The bar was well stocked and had all the drinks I needed. Breakfast was delicious and being a vegetarian the vegan full breakfast even included my favourite vegan black sausage. We had dinner in the restaurant which excellent and the waiting staff were attentive."

"The Hotel da Vinci's location was excellent, both for the seafront and for the theatres, heading into the centre of town for the restaurants and bars. Howard Square was nicely off the beaten track, very quiet with onstreet parking for which the hotel offered guests complimentary permits. My room was huge, if a little 'tired", decoratively speaking, but everything was very clean. Very happy with my stay, thank you!"

"Great location on the seafront - pack your swimmers for a quick dip. The rooms are clean, comfy and well appointed. Excellent shower in the room we had. The fresh milk on check in is a great touch. The team on check in and check out were very helpful and polite"

"Trains were cancelled due to an incident & we found ourselves stuck. The Cavendish came up on expedia as a good rating & so we booked 2 rooms. The staff were unwelcoming & unhelpful. We were given 2 box rooms at the back of the hotel looking into a wall. The rooms smelt awful - dank & musty. The facilities were old, the beds were like wood & you were afforded only 1 pillow. On checking in we were not informed by reception that if we wanted our room served that we had to ask !!!!!!No disabled toilet facility on ground floor and only one lift working which was very inconvenient in busy times. I had to access my mobilty scooter through Dining room to get out of the Hotel. Not nice for myself or the Diners .Rooms very spacious but tired.
