Guildford

"The outdoor pool was quite dirty when the bubbles stopped. It was overall clean apart from dead flies etc on the floor around the indoor pool. Staff were nice, man is restaurant made me extremely uncomfortable with sexual innuendos and was very unprofessional. Would have been nice to have the bar open outside the restaurant. The cleaning staff were lovely as were reception. Room itself was nice, parts of the hotel overall were tired. It would have been nice to have replacement spa towels each...

"The room and hallways/landing were outdated, dirty and in desperate need of renovation. Mattress was poor - worthy of a skip. It was the worst room I’ve ever stayed in. Supposedly this was a DELUXE double!!! If it wasn’t for the fact we were due at a party in Dorking that evening and didn’t arrive to the hotel until 6.30pm, we would have insisted on either another room or ideally our money back and moved to another hotel."

"One night stay due to massive Heathrow Airport flight cancellations and airline made a change to London Gatwick airport. Staff was welcoming at check in, in the very late hour of the night. Room had great amenities. I noticed it had extra fans in the closet (guessing due to the recent heat wave). Clean hotel but wondered as I found the previous occupant's hat just under the bed cover overhang on the floor. Breakfast was great. location was nice. easy walk to various shops. quiet area."

"I would avoid and book another hotel instead. Booked this property as it was near chessington theme park. A lot of things went wrong for just a two night stay 1. I had messaged them beforehand and even called them to inform them that my 2 year old will be coming with me so they'll need a baby cot. They confirmed it. I even called them a couple of days before and said that the cot will be in the room,. IT Wasn't!!. I asked to arrange it and they said it is too late and they won't be able to and...

"Close to airport and used the H1B shuttle to and from the airport for a small fee. Checkin was easy and quick. The restaurant staff not very attentive, we waited a long time before being acknowledged and then waited longer for our food, we finally had to ask for it to go since we waited so long for it. And when we got the food it bun to the burger was very hard. The AC in the room was tricky but then a quick called solved that problem. Also noticed the water in the shower was very slow to drain....

18. Angel Hotel

Guildford

"My stay at the Angel Hotel was lovely. My ONLY note is that the street is closed off everyday between 11am-6pm so getting dropped off right in front of the hotel with luggage is not possible. Also, there's no elevator, so if you have very heavy luggage like I did, you'll either need to lug it up a few flights of stairs or get help. My room was at the very back of the building and I had a glorious tub to soak in."
