"Loved the location and the accommodation. Communication was over the top. Quick response to any inquiry and Veronica provided additional information about favorite restaurants. Most of the historical sites are close by. Close to the bridge to go visit the port tastings. Porto is hilly so be prepared for climbs no matter where you decide to perch for a night or two."

"Casa Camilla is such a unique and beautiful property. Our room was spacious and full of character, set in an old house with a lovely fountain and patio that made it feel like a little oasis in the city. "The staff at Guest House Douro is amazing! Friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to help us enjoy our stay. We had a room overlooking the river which was very clean and comfortable but very small. Guests traveling with large luggage may want to ask about larger room options. Also, the hotel is off a pedestrian street which is not accessible to Uber drivers. Take a taxi if you don’t want to pull bags for a couple of blocks. Great stay! We wish we could have spent longer!"

"Dejligt hotel med skøn udsigt over floden. Gåafstand til den gamle bydel. Det var beliggende på portvinshus siden. Fine værelser med smart tv og indbygget cromecast. Morgenmaden der bestod af både kolde og varme retter. "The property makes creative use of its small space in the historic area. We enjoyed our balcony view of the city from our studio. Fresh and new inside with a Roman wall in the back. Staff is wonderful and genuinely helpful. Breakfast is good too. But do not plan to drive or park there. The road is very narrow. We left our car at a nearby parking garage. Wonderful location in the walkable historic district near the river."
