"I almost don't want anyone to know about the casa, but this is truly the best place to stay in porto. Not 5 minutes from the main historical square. But off the beaten path you walk down a deserted cobbled street; an unassuming door and in you walk to a luscious piazza garden with fountain; beautiful flowers and smells with a plush walk out to see the river and a good deal of porto. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast was amazing and so well appreciated. Staff go above and beyond. ...

"The amazing part: Gorgeous place. Very historic. Super friendly staff. Close but not too close to everything. Loved the Virtudes garden above the hotel. Also best bed we’ve slept in in a long time. The constructive criticism: The very thin walls between rooms was an unexpected frustration in such a nice place. Our fourth floor room was also right below the roof deck and the dragging around of chairs at midnight closing got quite loud. Buffet breakfast is good but not worth the high price tag....

"I had an incredible stay at this property. I was only here for a day and a half, but the hosts gave me great recommendations for restaurants and other things to do. The room was extremely clean and well-furnished. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The location cannot be beat! Right by the river so you can watch sunrise or sunset every day. It is also very secure. I would definitely stay here again!"

"Bij aankomt heel vriendelijk ontvangen. Kamer zeer netjes met een persoonlijke boodschap. Aangenaam frisse kamer met airco en prachtig uitzicht op de douro rivier en Porto. Ontbijt voldoende uitgebreid en lekker. Zeer rustig en aangenaam verblijf voor een citytrip. Heel makkelijk bereikbaar en voldoende ubers en taxi's om naar de luchthaven te gaan. Porto kan men makkelijk te voet alles bereiken."

"From the moment we arrived, we felt like valued guests. The staff took time to answer all our questions, explain the history of the property, and help with any thing we might have needed help with. This place is luxurious! From the marble shower, dreamy comfy beds, and spiralling staircases, we felt so spoiled. The daily breakfast was incredible, featuring local jams, breads, and chef's creations, and a wonderful way to start our day."
