Excellent location. Super clean and the staff very helpful and attentive. It was my birthday and they surprised me with a nice decoration in my bed. I'll always remember that.

We were on the second floor and the room had an amazing ocean/beach view. We had the far left room facing the ocean. The bottom floor would not be to bad but you lose some privacy on your balcony during the day. The place was a small boutique hotel so it felt comfortable and never crowded. The staff was friendly and very attentive to its guest. The daily free breakfast had your choice of I believe 6-8 items, which included juice and coffee. Choices were a full normal style breakfast (eggs, meat choice, bread), several different omelets, or chilaquiles (which was the bomb) and you ate breakfast on the beach. Could not beat the location. Perfect walking distance to the town center and easily accessible to walking the coastline.

Make sure you prepay your room or the Hotel will rip you off with a bad exchange rate. Also, don't book the cheapest room as it is located halfway up a narrow steep staircase adjacent to the street. The room was clean and did have a safe and fridge which was handy. The staff were mostly pleasant but not to everyone. The breakfast was nice as it was included and the food and coffee were a good way to start each day. Unfortunately, the beach was covered in sargassum, (stinky black seaweed) so we ended up hiking away most days to another part of the beautiful beach.

The location was outstanding and the room was clean. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was excellent.

It was super cold in the room. There were huge gaps between a wall and a window, so when the wind was blowing it felt like being outside. Water in the shower barely warm, didn't feel brave enough to wash my hair, just too cold. Moved a chair in the room and there was so much dust and dirt underneath.

The view from the bedroom was beautiful and the room was very clean. Staff was super nice and the people were wonderful. Breakfast restaurant on the ocean had an amazing view and food was absolutely delicious. It was nice to wind down without all the commotion of the big city. Just take in the beautiful views with the city of Holbox and the ocean! I would definitely go back! Everything was great! If I could make it better. I made it work but only 2 plugs in bedroom. I have a CPAP and they should have a few more outlets in the room. 2025 - Also better WiFi or internet signal and speed. 2/3g

Es war ein schönes Hotel mit freundlichen Mitarbeiterinnen. Das Essen war auch sehr gut. Das einzig störende war, dass es an ein paar sehr windigen Tagen etwas ins Zimmer zog und die Fenster nicht ganz dicht waren. Der Wind war sehr laut.

I loved La Palapa. The staff the cleanliness - the location is ideal! The maintenance staff keep it so clean. Raking the sand, wiping the wood down (polishing!) everything is immaculate. I loved my 10 days there and would not hesitate to book again. What a little gem. Intimate and picturesque.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at La Palapa. The location is excellent (it is loud at night from beach club but that is unavoidable in town). Breakfast is wonderful, as it service on the lounge chairs- big thank you to David for being the star employee for us, his service was excellent. I found front desk staff to be average at best- with only one female employee being friendly, the male seemed uninterested in talking to us at all. We upgraded to the “panorama suite” the first 3 nights as we couldn’t get two rooms and that was the poor experience. It is very expensive (luxury level pricing) and the condition is 2-3 star at best. Stained sheets, dirty rugs, sliding doors that don’t lock. This suite is severely overpriced and nobody with a $1000 night budget would be happy with the quality. We found this unacceptable. We much preferred our standard double queen and King suite rooms- which had a higher standard of quality and cleanliness than the upgraded suite. If we had only had the standard rooms my review would be better.

FATE ATTENZIONE!!!! Abbiamo prenotato tramite Expedia, sulla prenotazione il costo della camera viene riportato in USD. Una volta arrivati ti fanno pagare in moneta locale. il problema è che applicano un tasso di cambio completamente folle e una persona, magari stanca per il viaggio e tutto paga. Poi ti accorgi che ti addebitano (nel nostro caso) circa 150 USD in più rispetto alla prenotazione e quando vai a fare reclamo ti dicono che non possono fare niente perché da loro funziona così. Per il resto, il soggiorno è stato piacevole, l'hotel è buono, lo staff del bar è gentilissimo e sempre sorridente e la colazione era ottima. Pulizia puntuale e precisa. Ho girato il messico e per fortuna su circa 15 hotel solo questo mi ha addebitato cifre diverse da quelle della prenotazone. Non capisco perché un hotel con queste potenzialità debba truffare i turisti.
