From the moment we checked in, it was pretty chaotic, the girl was nice but the guy gave us attitude. The room had a nice view from the shared balcony, but the room itself was terrible. I don't usually leave reviews, and me and my partner are pretty chill people but we are so frustrated. As soon as you walk into the room the humidity is overwhelming (we stayed in another cheap hotel where this wasn't a problem) to the point where all our clothes felt constantly wet and started to smell funky. The towels they provide had a bad smell as well. The shower had literal full grown mushrooms growing in it, one of them, nearly ten centimeters long eventually fell off and onto the dark shower floor. The water barely comes out and had a trickle of hot water only once I think. The King size bed consist of two flimsy, uncomfortable pillows and the absolute worst part is we got BED BUGS. Now we have spend the day sanitizing all of our belongings. One of the worst rooms I ever stayed in, completely unacceptable. Such a prime location and so much potential I don't know how one can blow it so hard.

The rooms and the lobby are not in the same building, but are across the street from each other. The room was spacious and clean, but the main thing that I loved was the lobby and dining area. Both have dirt floors (really more like sand due to the proximity of the beach) and are very relaxing and beautiful. Some of the best coffee I've ever had was served in the morning, with fresh fruit juices and delicious breakfast plates. The entire place feels welcoming with huge dream catchers. The owner's son was helpful and friendly.

Charmigt enkelt hotell nära stranden

Charmigt enkelt hotell på stranden med trevlig personal. Rum med enkel standard dock ingen AC och fanns bara en stol på balkongen trots att detta var ett dubbelrum. Bra frukost med egenodlade kryddor från deras trädgård.

Holbox mosquitoes

Mosquitoes were everywhere. The mosquito netting had holes and not adequate Mosquitoes were coming in and under the doors The hotel did not have any mosquito repellent so take a lot of repellent. We found far superior hotels in the area As there are many ponds with water on the roads etc. the mosquitoes are thriving. We were told by hotel staff, that due to increased construction for accommodation that the ground is saturated for the septic fields. And because of this, there are obvious sewage smells in some of these low ground pools on the roads as the taxis drive through them 3 times at the hotel there were mistakes on my billing. I strongly recommend getting a receipt for any payments including breakfast or any meals or any billing from the hotel. Also take note, that most stores downtown do not have any prices on goods and trying to charge more at the cashier was a common occurrence

Calm at night and the mornings!

Nice staff. Very quiet hotel - although there is a bar that plays music the whole day. Some buildings are very close to the beach. The beach in that area is empty. The walk on the beach at night is just wonderful. It is about 15 minutes walk to downtown. The walk is super nice (unless the mosquitoes decides to join you). At night you can walk on the beach and see the stars. I hope they had a kitchen because restaurants are far away. It may be because they want to make money from breakfasts, but perhaps they can at least open it later in the day. ... also, thanks for the free coffee! :) Last - you should note that this is an island that is not very well developed. Don't expect the hotels to provide you more than what they can. This is why you may have some problems during your stay with the electricity, AC, etc ... but this is not a major problem. I am sure the other hotels have similar problems.

Esta excelente el hotel. Muy limpio. Con una tematica increible. La habitacion con vista al jardin es increible. La playa esta a escasos metros. El personal muy agradable. Lo único que cambiaria es el horario del desyuno haciendolo mas extenso hasta las 12 pm ya que habemos gente que no desayuna temprano. Preferimos descansar bien. Y el limite de 1030 es para mi gusto muy limitante. Ya que a esa hora generalmente voy despertando.
