"We stayed at Victoria Falls Oasis Hotel the day we arrived in Vic Falls before starting our two week volunteer program. The hospitality was excellent beginning with when they first messaged me to coordinate transfer from the airport. They also helped coordinate a sunset river tour and provided recommendations at local restaurants. The hotel was a nice way to start our trip and enjoyed talking with the Jomo and the staff as we partook in refreshments from the bar. We wanted to stay there again...

"Batonka Lodge was booked as part of a package trip that we did to Africa. However, we extended our trip so stayed two additional nights at the Lodge. The lodge is small compared to some other places that have recently been built or being built but it was just right. It had a really cozy colonial feel to it. "I picked this one out of the two hostels in the area, because you could pay for it upfront when you booked (so on your credit card in your own currency) and the fact you could pay for stuff with the credit card too. In fact other than the taxi from the airport, I never used cash in Victoria Falls. Everything I went into, including the nearby supermarket was in US dollars though.
