"The room was spacious, large beds, ensuites and a lovely big living space. The lighting was a bit dim, more lamps would be good. Small things didnt work well, ie, no bedside lights, front door wouldnt lock (except for the yale), a bulb was out, we scouldnt get the phone to reception to work and wifi didnt work either. Some of the blinds need fixing too. However, lovely linen, comfy beds, great location and quiet. "

"Nice hotel everything needed for a comfortable stay, room was fine, slightly outdated but spacious & very clean which is the main thing. Bar area is good, happy and efficient staff. Car park facing the hotel albeit £12 to self park but for a City centre hotel that’s the way it is nowadays. Easy walk 5-10 walk into heart of Chester, however lots of restaurants, cafes & pubs within 2mins from hotel on Brook street."

The request had not been received but the staff were accommodating and changed our room for us without any problem, they were kind and considerate and gave us a large 3 sleeper room. "Lovely hotel with pleasant staff. Our room was a great size with a bathroom that had a deep bath and a walk in shower. It was all very clean. There was air conditioning in the room that had to work hard as it was nearly 30° and it it did a great job! There were plenty of spaces in the car park although there was a parking charge. "Breakfast was ok, staff really good friendly and helpful but the property leaves a lot to be desired. Very dated and in real need of modernisation. We booked a room with a 4 poster bed then on arrival were told we had a free upgrade to a 4 poster room.... Strange seeing as that's what we requested anyway. Room was at best ok.
