"Hadn't read reviews till the night prior to arrival. Wish we had. Room wasn't clean, carpets badly stained, didn't take shoes off. Food / unknown substance all over the picture on the wall. Sealant hanging off and mouldy at base of shower. Poor maintenance regards filling of holes on the desk. The fridge had been removed from its housing and left on the floor. "Fabulous new hotel and lovely room. Room was warm though with no opening windows and fresh air. AC wouldn’t stay on so may be a teething problem. Room was fabulous apart from that. Hot breakfast items were lukewarm which was disappointing. Plenty of choice. "

"I do not dislike pets but I do object to dogs under the tables in the restaurant. My friend is allergic and we had to move tables due to this situation arising. It’s unacceptable! Also breakfast was served 7.30-9.30 but at 9.25 everything was being cleaned away and some guests arriving at this time were not offered specialist milks or hot food. Unacceptable really. "Attentive and friendly staff, efficient check in and check out. Comfy toom with the Marriott bed linen, always a good sleep. Hotel in quite a good position in town with good entrance for drop off and pick up."

"Room was huge but a bit dark. Bathroom a little dated - shower didn't maintain a constant temperature and was a bit weak. Absolutely spotless. Had to hunt for a hair towel and tea and coffee facilities. No iron - but there was an ironing board. Staff really friendly and helpful. Great porridge and selection at breakfast. Great location near to town centre with reasonable and safe parking."
