"To start with, please keep in mind that we are talking about a 3 star hotel. I would NOT recommend going in high season. We were lucky to go at the start of low season where the hotel was not too busy. Positives: Very nice pools, one with a swim up bar. It Located on a beautiful stretch of beach with many beach chairs and umbrellas available. Not so for the main pool area. Very few umbrellas available. Nice gym and games room. The buffet food options were better than the other two restaurants....

"There were a number of issues with this property. First it was not the property shown in the Expedia photo, nor was it in the location indicated on Expedia. Second, there was no remote control for the air conditioner unit in the main living area downstairs so it could not be turned on. "the Chef was great, it is a small family owned place and they all chip in , the food was the best I had on the ISLAND in years. depending on your room and what you book, you get different things but the overal experience was great unless you want a more Eurocentric experience in the carribean, then the other Resorts are for you, but I love this little family Run place, was HOME. "I absolutely loved the location the most. It was nice to be close to a grocery store, bar and the beach especially when you’re not trying to be too much like a tourist. Where Chenkos is located isn’t that far from tourist areas also so you really get the best of both worlds. "location was hard to find as you have to use the location given in Expedia. Place was in a nice quiet location. Areas of improvement: sink water was running very very very slowly. Need sink replaced. Toilet would run more often on the second/third day and having to manually hold the stopper down was too much. WiFi was spotty which could have been due to the location. Scenery was beautiful, management was responsive and helpful. Parking is also scarce. I would book again as a 5:6:7th option for...

"Old, shabby, in the middle of a building site, only 1 light in any room. all ceiling vans not working. TV not working. Had to ask for a room key as one was not provided at check-in."
