"Beautiful cosy double room full of amenities, mini bar, fridge and Nespresso machine, and fresh milk! Lovely modern bathroom. Rooms hot in the heatwave we are experiencing but a fan was provided and I took my own. Hotel provided extra bottled cold water to help which was a nice touch. Loved the local honey given as a gift in the rooms. Had dinner and breakfast. Both very good. Lovely staff team too. Would highly recommend"

"The building is very old. With this comes issues with either a very steep staircase up to the rooms or use of an emergency exit at the rear (which is made of metal steps with a precarious old mat dangerously situated at the top). The room was lovely but it was very hot as situated above the kitchen. The weather was forecasted to be 28/29 degrees and I had to ask for a fan. "This place feels like an odd mix — some aspects feel like a hip boutique hotel while others seem a bit “budget.” There is no actual lobby or dedicated hotel staff in the evening, so you collect your key from the large bar on the ground floor. The rooms are nicely decorated and well appointed (eg, nice bathroom fixtures, Nespresso machine in room), though quite dark. Good location in historic city centre. Nice touches like a refrigerator on the corridor that has bottles of cold filtered water."

"Staff were very good and very helpful, they are let down by Ibis. It took us 4 rooms to get one where everything worked. 2 rooms we couldn’t access as the key pad didn’t work, (it wasn’t us, the staff tried too) 1 room tv was broken, 4th was okay but then the hairdryer blew up, Staff replaced it. The rooms were very clean. If you book a twin room, the beds are made up as singles but are still together."

"The property was very clean in the rooms but the veranda was really dirty and dusty it looked like it had never been cleaned the bed was really clean and comfortable and it had a massive TV in the room and some exercise things too. The bathroom was clean and towels were lovely and with toiletries provide it was a bit far from train station to walk but the bus stop was nearby as it was a bit expensive to use taxis. "Sheets were clean but that seemed to be about it. Stains on the wall, mould around windows and bathroom. I made the mistake of checking under the bed before I left and found a gross mess that can't have been properly cleaned ever. Tiny rooms but to be expected for price but basically just a bed and shower and no space to move. Okay as a single person who can deal with some grime but can't say I can encourage anyone to stay there."

"The third time staying at this hotel in the last 18 months and my room last night was certainly the most tired (room 606). The air-conditioning never really works effectively in any room we’ve had.
