"A lovely property in a good location, comfortable, clean if a little dated in some places, breakfasts very good and the restaurant is very good.
Great location for train and bus station and the town centre and lovely views over the town, would highly reccomend to anyone.

"Bar was good, albeit with a very limited range of hand pump ales. Also it didn’t have available the bottle of Chardonnay I ordered from the wine list. Breakfast offerings from the buffet and menu were very good. However, the fish chips, and mushy peas I ordered one evening (£18.95 on the menu) were simply awful in every respect including quality and portion size. "Robert greeted us at the door and was friendly. The room we were shown to was perfect, bed was comfortable and amenities clean and tidy. The location of Kirkgate House was great, in the middle of the town with bars and restaurants within a couple minutes walk. Would recommend and if we visit Knaresborough again, definitely would stay."
