"I loved everything about the property with one exception. While fairly was minor overall it did cause me personally a problem sleeping. I really wanted to rate my stay at 5 stars but the light coming in from the cottage entrance next door did not allow me a good night's sleep. For most guests this would probably not matter but any light causes me to not sleep well. "Beautiful historic hotel. Just stayed one night but would stay again. Unique property with old timey touches, like stationary in the room. Staff was very helpful. Brought our luggage up to the room for us and helped load the car when we were ready to leave."

"What a special place! If you are into unique, historical and elegant, this is your place. The bed was comfortable and shower nice and hot. The gardens were beautiful. I did not feel comfortable so we made 3 trips to load the car to leave and drive 7 hours. I was told no when the people in the room across from me come out of their room with a loaded cart and no staff... Hmmm just me or is it truly the policy???"

"Variety at breakfast. Super fresh! Everything works; water station, workout room, laundry, pool, fireplace and pit. Rooms are fresh and clean. This was a great stay. BTW, the manager was super nice and took care of us. The furniture in common areas is getting worn. That's the only thing I saw that needs repair."

"Pool was closed the entire time (end of June), and only one working elevator for the six story hotel. Common area furniture was very uncomfortable, but beds were good. Everything was very clean and staff were very helpful."

Checking my bank balance the next morning, he charged me for our room AGAIN after it was already paid for through Expedia.
