"The rooms are only cleaned every 5th day. How every they changed this without notice. So we almost didn't get it cleaned. All the ice machine were broken. When you brought issues to the staff, the gave excuses not remedies. We have stayed here before and had went down hill tremedusly."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Kauai Inn! The property itself is beautiful and peaceful, with lots of wildlife to keep you company. You will be greeted by many roosters, their resident cats, and even peacocks! The complimentary breakfast was as basic as it gets - bagels, croissants, cereal, fruit, coffee, and tea. There is free parking, a pool, live music on certain week nights, and movie night on Saturdays. They rent out snorkel gear and beach towels as well. It is located close to the airport...

"The location is great. Right by the beach, centrally located to all the attractions. Pool and pool area are great too.
The rest in my opinion falls short of the 4 star, $500+ per night (with all the taxes and fees) hotel. I would give it 3.75 stars but there is no such option. Some areas are dated. You can tell the hotel tries to maintain them by painting stuff over but it shows. For me the worst were supply and return grills for the A/C unit. Very dirty. We actually had been turning the A/C...
