"The location can't be beat! You can walk to the beach, onto Asilomar grounds, and to a great restaurant just down the street. There is a bus stop in front of the property, so getting into Monterey is easy if you don't want to drive.
Rosedale Inn suited our needs. Yes, it needs some updating, but the room was spotless, roomy, and cozy. I had very brief encounters with the front desk staff and cleaning staff, both were friendly and very helpful.
I would absolutely stay at the Rosedale Inn...

"We had a beautiful room. The balcony was amazing. Nice view of the ocean. When staying in Pacific Grove it is good to remember that most hotels do not have A/C. What sets this one apart is that they will provide you with a box fan to help with air circulation. Couple that with opening the balcony door your room cools down so nicely. The bed is super comfortable. The staff was very attentive."

"The pictures showed a quaint Victorian style attic room. It did not disappoint in appearance however the temperature was in the 80s and as we know attic rooms can really heat up. No air conditioning, which was maybe keeping in synch with the vibe but a fan would have been nice. We opened the few windows in the room, ended up with a couple of months since there were no screens."

"Customer service at front desk gets a poor grade, no one ever answers the phone. Tried calling them several times. The walls in our room was very thin, we could hear the people in the room next door all night long. We had our kids with us, thank god the neighbors were only talking and not engaged in adult activities. The breakfast was just ok. I saw some rave reviews about breakfast and for us, it was a let down."

"Perfect little hotel for a fun getaway! We walked downtown Monterey/Fishermans Wharf every night, and the drive to Carmel/point Lobos/Pacific Grove, and even Big Sur were super close! The only downside was they only cleaned our room 1 out of the 6 days we were there and we had to go to the office for clean towels daily, but that wasn’t a huge deal for us."
