"This is a well renovated new apartment. It has very modern amenities and super clean rooms. The bathroom is small but very modern and multifunctional. The washer is super useful. You can dry the clothes in the patio or inside the bathroom. It would be better if the guide includes how to get additional pillows as the existing ones are a little high. Also, the owner may provide additional towels to use (1 more set will be okay)."

"The amenities and location of the property made it a super comfortable and relaxing stay. It was beautifully designed and the view was great! (Worth the uphill climb and slight detour from the main shimanami kaido route!) Smooth and easy communication with the owner. Google maps location was accurate. Breakfast provided was decent. If you are staying in the property for more meals, bring more food along. Kitchen is well furnished. Will choose to stay here again!"

The room was very spacious for a room that had to accommodate a family of four. The location is actually quite convenient as well. Close to shopping, groceries, and the train system. 10/10 recommend!"

"Gion Elite Terrace is a great homebase in Kyoto. The hotel is clean, the rooms are incredibly well designed, with comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms, and more. The only downside (which is a larger issue with Kyoto in general) is that the property does not have much authentic Japanese charm or feel because it is largely (75%+) American tourists and staff are perfectly bilingual (a plus, but also a bit disorienting). If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese experience then this likely isn’t...

"A nice/convenient place to stay. Walking distance to many eateries and shops. Grocery stores near by as well. Only issue was communication with host. Overall, a great experience!"

"The room was big for us which was great coming from a small hotel room in Kyoto. Definitely better for a family of 5. The hotel was very clean and the process was super smooth, however there was a musty smell in our room but they said they would switch if we wanted but we didn’t want to move all our luggage. Great price overall."
