"The staff was very attentive. They have a laundry room. They don’t serve breakfast nor they have an indoor restaurant. This is a very good hotel just not as impressive as the one in Tokyo or the Ryokan in Hakone."

"Quiet, large room, close to transport and a short walk to all the great food spots in Pontocho alley and Nishiki Market. Can also walk to Yasaka Shrine and Kiyomisu-Dera. Room had a washing machine but no dryer, there was however a drying rack. Would stay here again. Staff helped us with transferring our luggage and were always helpful."

"Hotel is quite pretty, we enjoyed our stay here. Room felt small but quaint. Some rooms have no windows (our room was one of these). Bathroom felt spacious and modern. Hotel has laundry (free) and simple spa services that can be booked. Location is very good, walking distance from a few large temples in Kyoto, with good bus connectivity to many of the other key / well known attractions in Kyoto."

"We had a spacious room, beautifully appointed and very clean. The room design was well planned such that we had a double hand basin area with a bath and shower in a separate room and the toilet in a separate room again. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The dining room furniture was made up of beautiful antiques. For breakfast we had the choice of traditional Japanese or Western. The property also has a roof terrace. It was only a 10 min walk to Kyoto Station, had a fabulous...

"Everything was very smooth! A bit small but we didn’t mind. It had all the essentials as well as a washing machine (the drying process was a bit traditional but again we didn’t mind) and the receptionists (especially Hiro) were very accommodating and amazing! We would absolutely stay here again in the future as it is in a very convenient location"

"The location was the only thing that helps this hotel , walkable distance to the water temple and the streets of Gion, the incline is a bit steep but doable just take your time. The hotel was not very clean, had to do my usual wipe test and got a lot of dirt and stains with my wipes. You have to ask for extra pillows because they give you a baby crib pillow by default. The bathrooms are very small and feel like porta potties because of how detached they feel from the rest of the room. The beds...
