"The staff was very attentive. They have a laundry room. They don’t serve breakfast nor they have an indoor restaurant. This is a very good hotel just not as impressive as the one in Tokyo or the Ryokan in Hakone."

"Empfehlenswerte Ferienwohnung in der Nähe des Kiyomizu-dera. Sehr durchdachte Einrichtung. Nach Gion Zentrum 15 Minuten Fußweg. Steile Stufen ins 1. Geschoss ( Schlafzimmer und Tatami-Raum). Sehr schöner Miniaturgarten vor dem Badezimmer. Klimatisierung in jedem Raum. Die Wohnung macht einen sehr gepflegten Eindruck. Wir haben dort zwei schöne Wochen verbracht."

"We had an authentic Japanese experience staying here. The location was perfect - the house was on a quiet street while still being very close to the main attractions in the Gion area. The interior was beautiful, clean and well insulated with heated floors and AC in each room. Beds were very comfortable and the upstairs living offered a lovely veiw of the Yasaka Pagoda. "The best part of this hotel is the staff. Very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed sitting in the front seating area that had tables, refreshments, and manga to read. It was a nice place to sit and have dinner when the rain kept us from walking around one evening. The hotel had plenty of common areas for you to enjoy in case you wanted to get away from your room. Location was great, a short walk up the hill to Kiyomizu-Dera, a kimono shop around the corner, and a dumpling restaurant right next door."
