"My stay was nice and comfortable. The staff was friendly… my only issue was my room did not have a view at all and I think I chose a view when I booked. There was literally a wall right outside the window. Other than that it’s in a great location, the free breakfast is a great touch because most places don’t do free breakfast anymore. I would recommend to others"

"The location was good, easily walkable to the main downtown streets for dinners etc. the room was clean and a normal hotel room. It’s a big hotel and did not seem like a crowded weekend so I was surprised that our room had a not so great view of the back gravel area. There is also a bit of a sewer smell in the lobby and the plumbing seems to be a little issue. Everything else was great."

"This is still a big chain hotel - but the staff are really helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable with good temperature control, loads of fluffy towels and pillows, and a great location to explore Knoxville being very central, but still quiet. So worth it!"

"Only two issues one was the TV. Washed out and tough on the eyes. No fan in bathroom. Clean room, hallways and walk ways. Floors in lobby and restaurant always clean. Staff: Always helpful and pleasant. Breakfast: Oatmeal is ample and delicious. Traditional bacon, egg, potatoes and bread great. Bar: NA Computer and printer available to print airline tickets."

"What a gem! I chose The Tennessean for my first trip to Knoxville to tour UTK with my daughter, and it exceeded every expectation. As a former luxury hotel professional, I can confidently say their standards of service and cleanliness are top-tier. The entire staff was incredibly courteous and helpful, and the property itself is beautiful, immaculate, and loaded with wonderful amenities. We loved using the gym, and taking their golf cart shuttle to dinner one night was an absolute highlight!...

"My room was huge and loved the extra make up counter. The bed was very comfortable. Very convenient to downtown! Front desk is always so welcoming. Big lobby and the cafe and bar were nice, they just take a little bit of time, so if you are in a hurry this maybe isn't the best option. Overall the location and size of rooms are worth it."

"Everything about the stay was good except that housekeeping never came to clean out the room or give us clean towels. Chris from the front seat was helpful and he made notes on it and also took the trash out for us and gave us clean towel."

"Nice newer hotel. Room overall was comfortable however sink area and bathroom offered little counter top space. Also shower controls were hard to reach and not get wet turning on the shower. Whomever planned the space didn’t take that into consideration. Perhaps reverse the shower doors to better access shower controls."
