"The hotel was well located in the busy Gion area. It was a calm and peaceful and well landscaped. The room cleaning was basic. They changed the towels and made the beds and took out the trash, nothing more. They informed me that the hotel nightly rate dropped but they couldn’t extend the discount. I felt like a lot of Kyoto was a money grab."

"This was the perfect hotel for me and my teenaged son. We were close to a lot of the sites I wanted to see and a quick bus ride from the heart of Kyoto that he wanted to experience.
The hotel itself was charming and spacious. Especially after spending a few days in Tokyo, the room felt massive. Two double beds, a living area with TV, separate WC and separate tub/shower.
The staff was enthusiastic and cheerful. I can’t recommend this place highly enough! Superb hotel!"

"We loved this hotel and its location in Kyoto. We walked to many attractions from the hotel as it is very convenient for tourists. Some of the nearby dining was fantastic and less than a two minute walk from the hotel. Hotel was extremely clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend. "

"We loved this hotel. Very clean. The buffet breakfast was the best out of all the hotels we stayed at during our Japan trip. The espresso/tea machine in lobby was great too. The room was small as expected but still comfortable. The bathroom was nice. Great toiletries/body wash and bathrobes. Good shower head. Hotel is on a very quiet street near a metro station and near a Family Mart and 7 Eleven."
