"We loved this spot. It's right by the imperial gardens, a subway and bus station and plenty of restaurants. It's also a 20 minute walk from a shipping district with more restaurants and things to see and do. The food on site is great too. Our favorite however was the room, it was large and comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and clean. Definitely recommend staying here."

"Excellent hotel in a beautiful and old building. I believe it was a tea house long ago, now renovated and modernized into a hotel. The staff was very helpful. There are several bus stops nearby, so getting around Kyoto was easy. 7-11 is a few doors down in case you need a quick snack."
