"The towels were stained! Walked all the way to the front desk where the front attendant was not friendly at all, and got 2 more and they were stained. Room itself was fine. The door didn’t extend all the way to the ground, so there was about an inch space open at the bottom. It cost $100 to stay there, and wouldn’t stay there again."

My room was dirty and in poor repair: water-stained ceilings, cracked walls, holes near fixtures, and burned electrical outlets. One room didn’t even have a smoke detector, and had exposed extension cords and electrical tape connecting a makeshift LED lighting fixture. It felt unsafe and neglected. I ended...

"this was the absolute best place to stay in memphis! it’s exactly as shown in the photos, but somehow better? the room’s flourishes were so thoughtful. we were greeted by squirrels in the morning. the hosts were communicative & the whole process was smooth! we will definitely stay here again! oh & the shower.. the water pressure is perfect & the shower gel/hair products smell divine!"

"Upon arrival my non smoking room was a smoking room. Finally get them to change it after they said they couldnt. The 1st room the key wouldnt unlock so the manager had to unlock with his manual key. He said he could just let me in every time i needed in my room. I requested a different room. He finally agreed. The 2nd room reaked of cigarettes. The blanket had cigarette holes all over it. "I had a lovely stay at the River Inn. It is a beautiful property, well decorated with beautiful views of the Mississippi River and wonderful thoughtful amenities. This is now my go to hotel when in Memphis."

"System was down and I couldn't check in which made me late for a comedy festival i was in town for. I tried asking front desk clerk about solutions just in case it took longer for system be fixed and he rudely walked away from the window while i was talking.
