I did not like that there was no breakfast provided, and no microwave or refrigerator in the room. I did like the beauty of the hotel art and artifacts it is gorgeous. Also, having to use my room key to use the elevator to get to my room made me feel secure. And the Michael Jackson show was phenomenal!!!
Arrived at the parking by 2:45p to get in line just at 3:00pm to check in. Lines were already hefty by then. Entered self check in kiosk line, had issues and the screen displayed there would be a lobby ambassador there to help. We waited at least 5 mins until finally we decided to step over to ask one of the ladies helping the line to check people in, if we can get someone to help and we were advised they couldn’t do anything and to just get in line to get checked in by someone.
The end of THAT line was blocked off by an employee and she was questioning everyone who wanted to get in that line what they needed, and still advised us to jump in the self check in.
Explained to her that we needed help and no one was available and she responded with absolute attitude to just get in the line. Mind you, the 2 persons in front of me asked her one simple question and she responded with disgust and attitude ? So many people were overstimulated, angry or upset and the persons up front took more than 10/15/ even 20 mins for one person. It took an hour and a half to finally get checked in and in our room.
Fortunately, the lady who checked us in was super friendly and provided great service. To be honest, I would not stay again. And it takes a lot for me to say that. I want to add in that upon checking out and walking out our door, we saw a roach crawling outside of our door FYI

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Property is outdated, smells like cigarrette smoke, front desk was slow and kiosks could not find my reservation. Casino staff was helpful. Hotel ambiance is a bit creepy and the biggest issue is the elavators. My guess is because of the shape of the pyramid you have to take different elevators to get to your deatination, and if you get a room on the opposite corner of the elavator, you will nees to walk quiete a bit.
Elevator took forever!!! and when under the influence of alcohol, you get more dizzy. Certain elevators only go to certain floors. place is pretty small compare to other casinos. it was wasn’t bad. the pool was cool. it is far from the strip life. i am not sure if i will go back. staff was really nice and they have a 24 hr food place which was convenient.

Air conditioner made really loud tapping noise. Didn’t work too well. Sink kept stopping up. Not enough towels in room. Toilet paper was previously used.
Our room had previous guests empty bottles next to trash can. Bedside lamp was burned out. At different times during stay- room smelled like sewer- bad odor. TV was not watchable- jumped and sound breaking up. There was an ice bucket but no drinking glasses anywhere.
I was in room 7008 (king bed) which is near the corner. It was a large room and very clean - comfortable bed and pillows. My only complaint was the room felt warm at night despite the air running 24/7. The rainfall shower was quite forceful instead of a gentle rainfall but everything was clean - the most important part for me.
I enjoyed the Luxor - my first stay there - I do wish there were more restaurants to choose from inside the Luxor. I’m allergic to gluten so their “food court”has nothing safe for me to eat. Really good snacks at their little stores that are GF and easy to grab and go. Highly recommend Diablos - delish Mexican food and margaritas. Ate at Public for dinner (pro tip - sit at the bar for faster service instead of waiting 30 mins for a table). The burger/fries were delicious (even with an GF bun that’s normally blah) and hit the spot after a long day.
Check in and check out were easy and done through a kiosk and QR code respectively - with human helpers to assist. Even though check in was at 3 - without asking prior for early check in - my room was ready when I arrived at 9:30am. Staff was very helpful and courteous throughout entire property. My incidental hold was immediately refunded at checkout despite reading it could be held up to 10 days when booked with a debit card like I used. Good place to stay with easy walking access to other MGN resorts.
I did not like that there was no staff to assist with check-in or checkout. When I check my statement, there is a charge with no explanation which I am disputing. My room was cleaned only once and I had a three day stay

The property allowed us to use the amazing pool at the Mandalay Bay
A quality hotel that is very affordable on the vegas strip. Its a good place to stay but the rooms are a tad outdated and the bathrooms were in ok working order. The shower was just ok. Not near enough water pressure but ok. All in all its a good deal for what you pay for. Its way less expensive than other hotels on the strip but theres a lot of truth to the saying you get what you pay for.
