"We had a great stay for a couple of nights at Casa Gem, and it is a gem! Nicely appointed with everything you need. Spacious and very clean. Breakfast was so good to start the day. We enjoyed the tranquility of Casa Gem. "

"Nice, homey alternative to the big resorts. Very good location and very close to the restaurants in the area. Breakfast was simple toast and eggs. We didn't read our booking closely enough and didn't realize there was a shared bathroom, but we are not picky and it was fine and quite clean. Only very minor complaint would be there were only 1 pair of towels provided (and no hand towels) and no bath mat to dry off your feet outside the shower."

"Carmen and her family showed kindness and excellence in hospitality. I was welcomed with fresh fruit and a cold beverage, followed by a quick walk around the place, which made me feel right at home. The view from the rooftop balcony was lovely, and the neighborhood setting was quite and restful after an active day visiting the historical sites and beaches. The hotel had plenty of stylish open space to lounge, and computer access for business. Personal tours were also offered, as well as...

"The property itself was very nice inside the unit, definitely off the beaten path but for the price we couldn’t have asked for more, friendly staff even with language barrier. Unfortunately the pool was being filled at time of arrival and not available until the following day. There was confusion with our booking as I had received confirmation from Expedia and that I could pay upon arrival at property, however when we arrived they said we didn’t have a reservation as payment was not processed...

"Friendly people! I like that the localtion is not in a hotel zone but rather in a nice neighborhood with eating options. One negative was that the WIFI signal did not really reach our room upstairs. Also be advised, no coffee on premise. - we found a nice cafe nearby though! "

"Friendly hosts. Gave us option to upgrade our continental breakfast which was reasonable. :) Also was able to use a guest kitchen which helped with the budget since Holbox is not terribly cheap."
