"Checked in, receptionist was lovely. Climbed a load of stairs, along some corridors, down some stairs and up some more, finally got to our room, not a towel to be seen. Away back up and down all the stairs to ask for towels and then back up and down all the stairs again. Finally got to relax after driving all the way from Cornwall. Carpark was good, room was ok. Not the cleanest and the shower had more water coming out the hose than anywhere else. The restaurant had food, roast dinner with the...

"Lovely friendly staff, but the shower was tiny, mouldy and the sink didn't work, so hardly any water coming out. I reported the problem with the sink the following day, but was told that it may not get fixed as the hotel was undergoing a full renovation in a few weeks. I fully understand that the owners don't want to spend money when they are ripping out old rooms AND I was offered a room change, but decided not to take it. Room cleanliness was good, but I gave a low score on the overall...

All I have to say that this is one of my favorite places to stay. Love the spacious bathrooms, and the staff was very helpful assisting me with mailing something on my behalf. "

"Great to have two double beds in the twin room Spa area, whilst small was a really nice add on. The bar shut a little bit early at 11pm The breakfast was fresh with an extensive choice but didn't cater particularly well for vegetarians (both of us are) with no veggie sausages/ haggis/ bacon. The staff were really helpful, polite and kind"

"Very happy with my stay. The location was brilliant for where I need to be during my business stay. Room was spacious and clean and dinner/breakfast was a very good quality and provided in a timely fashion. Views from the hotel definitely added to the stay and who doesn't want a welcome cookie! IF I had to be critical of anything, I didn't get on with the pillows provided but I appreciate we are all different!"
