    Top Aussicht - schlechter Service

    City Gate ist leider überhaupt nicht weiterzuempfehlen. Der Service ist ungenügend. Wenn man City Gate erreichen will, nimmt niemand das Telefon ab, niemand ruft zurück und es werden leere Versprechungen gemacht. Schade, da die Wohnung an sich super ist.

    Buena ubicacion, mal cuido del apartamento

    La ubicacion del apartamento estupenda con la boca de metro muy cerca, la cual te lleva a todas partes. Cuando llegamos al apartamento parecia todo perfecto pero cuando nos instalamos, las lamparas pequeñas estaban rotas, la placa de cocinar sucia, la cama es malisima, la aspiradora rota y no habia recogedor de basura por lo que no pudimos barrer y el plachero tambien roto. Le dimos el aviso a la responsable y me dijo que lo sentia pero no nos solucinó nada .

    An up and down stay

    Check in was a very frustrating experience. Apartment was not at the advertised address and even though staff were aware we required an early check in or baggage storage, we had to wait 2 hours to be let into the building and check in. Staff were also hard to get in contact with as there is no reception. The room itself was tidy. However, you can tell it has been a cheap renovation. Additionally, our bed was broken when we arrived. We couldn’t get this fixed until the next day. Also, another thing to be weary of is that the walls are quite thin. So you can hear quite a bit of noise through the night. Other than this is apartment was okay and it was handy to have a kitchen and washing machine. Also, it was very close to a tube station which was very convenient. Overall was an okay stay but would not stay here again. Much more convenient to stay in a hotel.

    The Non-existence Accomodation by CityGate Tower B

    I have booked and paid for Citygate Tower Bridge, 50 Vine St London EC3N 2JY, and expected to stay in this accommodation, instead they allocated an apartment that is not what we paid for in -112 Whitechapel High St London E17PU. The bed was so bad that we can felt the metal spring. The next day I have to contact Hotel.com and made a complaint. This is a warning to future traveler who wants to booked this accommodation ....Citygate Tower Bridge, 50 Vine St London EC3N 2JY does not exist. Stay away from this accommodation. Read the reviews from other travelers who had the same bad experience. I wish I did.

    Location is good, right next to Aldgate East station. Communication is not difficult but needs a wee bit of planning. Apartment was nice and a nice view. A few odd things like a broken rubbish bin and sliding door, but nothing unacceptable

    Different place provided than i had booked?

    Booked citygate but stayed at apartment block in whitechapel high street. Place was ok, price is good considering had apartment. Little dilapidated - plaster repairs, lamps broken, no fuse in the iron?? Otherwise it was fine and clean. Plenty of space and good cityviews Overall it was acceptable for one night

    Größter Vorteil: Innenstadtnähe

    Die Übergabe des Wohnungsschlüssels und Einweisung in die Wohnanlage (ca 5 min Fußweg vom Tower entfernt, 1 min entfernt ein kleiner Supermarkt) war unkompliziert, freundlich und flexibel (wir kamen etwas früher an als ursprünglich geplant). Leider kam uns schon im Fahrstuhl ein unangenehmer Geruch nach ranzigem Fett entgegen, der uns die gesamte Woche immer beim Betreten des Flurs begleitete. Das Apartment war gut geschnitten und groß. Ausstattung etwas mager. Wenn Ihr euch im Alter von Mitte 20 schon immermal Rückenschmerzen gewünscht habt, wäre das Bett genau das Richtige für euch. :D Die Küche allerdings war gut ausgestattet, modern und für eine Woche absolut richtig zum Kochen. Das Bad war sauber und hell. Wir haben eine tolle Woche in London verbracht, die uns die Lage des Apartments absolut erleichtert hat. Und so sollte es doch im Urlaub auch sein: Die Wohnung sollte Schlaf, eine Dusche und ggf. eine Küche zum Kochen bereitstellen. Das ist hier absolut erfüllt mit kleinen Extras und kleinen Abzügen. Die Lage ist für Entdecker allerdings genau richtig und deswegen auch zu empfehlen, wenn man keinen großen Luxus bzw. Comfort braucht. :)

    Questionable safety

    This would have been an overall good experience if someone hadn't tried to get into my room while I was in there. I had just come back from spending some time in the city when someone unlocked the door and tried to open it. Luckily I had the safety latch in place so they were unsuccessful. Or what if I had been out and my belongings were all there? I tried to contact the host and asked if someone tried to enter but they still haven't replied or even apologized. Because of that reason alone, I would never stay here again. Communication wasn't too bad. They finally contacted me back the day of to give me the appropriate address because yes, it's not 50 Vine Street. I was on the 19th floor so noise from the metro wasn't an issue. It was nice having it so close by however. View from the hotel/apartment was very nice.

    A convienient appartmet near Tower Gateway.

    Jeg bestilte og betalte for oppholdet 18. desember 2016. Da jeg kom fram til adressen: 50 Vine street, eksisterte ikke dette lenger som overnattingssted (nedlagt for 5 måneder siden. Jeg fikk en unødvendig høy taxi regning (45 Pund) på grunn av denne miseren. Telefonnummeret til CityGate Tower Bridge var en automatisk telefon svarer. Da jeg omsider fikk kontakt, fikk jeg nåværende adresse: 87 Mansell steet. En topp moderne leilighet med alt utstyr. Meget bra.

    Leiligheten/hotellet lå ikke på den oppgitte adressen. Det var umulig å komme i kontakt med hotellet på det oppgitte telefonnummer. Dette må en være oppmerksom på. Det var bare mulig å kommunisere med ansvarshavende på mail. Det er deilig å ha kjøkken og en god sofa å sitte i, og leiligheten var helt ok. Men det fantes ingen informasjon på rommet om f.eks tv og internett. Personen som låste en inn snakket heller ikke et ord engelsk. For min egen del måtte jeg ta inn på et annet hotell første natt for å rekke en teaterforestilling jeg hadde billetter til . Ellers hadde jeg et veldig bra opphold.

    CityGate TowerBridge - Not the location advertised

    When you book CityGate Tower Bridge, you may or may not be getting a place at the listed address (50 Vine Street, , City of London). I our case the address of the unit we stayed at was 11-12 West Smithfield, London. I guess the 50 Vine Street location only has single king size beds. I got an email from them with instructions on how to get the keys to the place. In my email, I provided my travel plans and told them we would call when we arrived in London. On the day we were to check in I got a call about noon from the company asking about or travel plans...hey guys, check your email. I told them that our train arrives at three and we should be at the property at four, but we will call from the train station. Our train was about 45 minutes late and we called when we arrived at the station. The agent wondered where we were since they had someone waiting for us at the property since three. We previously told them we would call when we arrived. We made it to the property and the representative was upset that she had to wait so long...again not our fault. She gave us the key and left. The unit was ok...however there were no linens for the second bed. Also the street scene in the neighborhood is very vibrant with several pubs. Which is great unless you are trying to sleep. The unit has no AC and no fan. If you open the windows, you get all the noise from the street as well as a good dose of cigarette smoke. This place was good, but nothing special.

    Comfy aapartment, morning market is a bit noisy

    I will start off as others have said: booked it thinking we were staying at Tower Bridge. Found out later we were staying at Farringdon which was a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, apartment was clean and full kitchen available. If you are staying longer and want tv, it's tiny and reception is a bit dodgy. Thankfully, that's not what we were in London for. Bed was comfy. Overall it was okay. I knocked some points off due to the lack of clarity of apartment location and also the market noise. It is a night market so lots of hustle and bustle and noise from trucks unloading and loading all night.

    This is not a hotel, you are renting a flat. Our flat was very spacious with a good kitchen. Wifi free but a bit unstable, furniture a bit worn out and no TV. Our confirmation was for a flat at Tower bridge, but a few days before leaving we were moved to a flat close to Old street (only 2 km away, but still a little disturbing). Overall we were happy with our stay, very spacious for London and we got a good price through Hotels.com

    Fab little apartment in a great location

    Really nice little apartment, although did not look like photos which were shown when we booked. It was very clean and in an ideal location - not far from the tube, good bus links and easy to walk to more central parts of London. It was noisy in the evening but we did have to have the windows open as it was so warm. We used it more of somewhere to sleep so didn't spend much time in the apartment. Overall good, and would stay again

    City Gate Apt - great location, not get apt.

    Please be aware that the apartment is not located at 50 Vine Street, the address is 31 Monument St. This can be confusing and frustrating. The location of the apt, however, is ideal. It is walking distance to almost all sites and the tube is literally 2 mins from the apt. The only issue we had was the apt itself. It was not the cleanest nor was there any AC so the apt was very hot on our first night in London.

    The apartment was okay, a bit worn but clean. Communication with owners very difficult. Communication with Hotels (yourselves) absolute rubbish. Three different Hotels staff, on three different occasions, promised to call me back and never did. Will never use your website again. YW

    Apartment was very nice to stay in with all amenities needed for a nice stay, but was very noisy from the street and the blinds are fairly transparent so the sun was shining into the bedroom at about 5am. Not having a reception made it a little difficult to check into the room, also, the host did not speak much English at all. The hotel is also no where near the address that is stated on Hotels.com and not where we were expecting the hotel to be at all. Nor are there signs out the front with the hotel name which made it even more difficult for check in.

    Premeditated and professional fraud

    It is a hoax, there is no such hotel. I do not understand Expidia did not review supposed hotels. Do not reserve that it is a fraud.
