"Great food, amenities, events by the pool during the day and in the lawn in the evenings. Plenty of activities for kids so the beach remained pretty peaceful and not crowded. Probably the best hotel/resort gym I’ve ever seen. If I had one recommendation, it would be to add more umbrellas on the beach. There were plenty of chairs, but umbrellas became a Hunger Games situation as there was one umbrella for every 10-15 chairs (versus one umbrella for every two chairs by the pool). "

"What a great place for the price. It is a ways from the resorts and downtown Punta Cana but not hard to get a taxi at all. If you want a taste of the local lifestyle this is definitely the place you should stay. Less than 5 mins to Ole supermarket (which is kind of a Walmart) with a fully equipped kitchen. Even if I was going resorting I would stay for a couple days here just to understand how middle class Dominicans are living. Don't let the people who only stay at resorts tell you how...

"Affordable place to stay in a safe environment close to the airport and the beach. The owner was very friendly and the entire setting was very clean and unique. It doesn’t have many bells and whistles. One towel, one bar of soap about covers the room. No mini fridge, cups, ice etc. Sinks don’t drain well but found that around most of DR. We were able to check in early and after we checked out at 11, stay on site for a few hours til our flight. Ubers were about $7 usd to the closest beach and $10...
