"This boutique hotel is a gem! Located on a smalll square in Centro it is easy to walk to many restaurants and has a ton of character. Spacious open areas give it an expansive feel. Rooms are well equipped and the included breakfast was exceptional. "

"Everyone at Casa Donceles was extremely welcoming and accommodating. The room was also very clean and larger than we expected. Not to mention it is a very short walk to some of the best historic sites in the city. We will definitely consider staying here on future trips to CDMX. "

"This hotel has ruined me for all other hotels! This boutique hotel was a peak experience for our stay in Mexico City. It is located on a lovely, quiet street, only about a 10 minute walk to the historic city center sights of the Cathedral, the Zocalo, and Templo Mayor. The surrounding streets are pulsing with foot traffic and small shops. It is not tourist territory and it feels very safe, even as night falls. The hotel itself is gorgeous architecturally."

"It’s wonderfully located in the historic center. Staff were nice and attentive and the hotel smells beautifully. Wish the king size bed was a real king size bed and not 2 joined twin beds but at least they weren’t uncomfortable but you can feel the separation. Because of convenience and location, I will absolutely stay again. "

"My son and I had a wonderful week-long stay at Umbral in the Historic Center of CDMX. The property was well situated, right in the heart of the Historic Center, just blocks from the Cathedral so very convenient. Our room was spacious and very clean. The rooftop restaurant was lovely and the breakfast was delicious. The entire staff at the Umbral was so helpful and friendly - they made us feel incredibly welcome and they were very accommodating with any questions or requests we had. "

However, the rooms were very small, which made the stay a bit uncomfortable, especially for longer visits.
