"Great that there was free parking, staff were probably the friendliest I’ve ever seen. Rooms over the bar a bit noisy with music, doors banging ect but it does close at 12 so had a good nights sleep. Disappointed breakfast wasn’t provided but there was tea/coffee/ biscuits in the room."

"Run down hotel. Cracked walls. Unrefreshend smell to the room. Not worth 1/4 of the $$$ I paid. Getting out of the bathtub was a fall hazard. Shower pressure was low...on the ground floor I wonder what its like on the top floor. Very unpolite and discriminatory frontend staff. Had paid for a quadruple room but was given a lower occupancy room. The only positive thing was the comfy bed and having a roof over one's head."

"Bar staff not attentive at all. Waited over 15 minutes for a drink and when the other staff were alerted of this, they seemingly did not care. The property itself was lovely and both bars in the hotel are a great addition too. "

"No heating nor was it controlable from our room also leaking, not well maintained (stains on the walls from damp/water damage, unable to open window fully, booking times was between 2-4 but if after would of been charged more on our booking and had to rearrange our trip around to accommodate this. "I booked the Royal Toby as a solo traveller. I was made so welcome by the reception staff. I was immediately put at ease. Nothing was too much trouble. My room was spacious and airy. Consisting of a double bed and a big single bed. Facilities were excellent with tea making facilities. And all amenities you would expect. The room was veryclean. Corridors and communal areas were also of a high standard. I had arranged to go out so did not use bar facilities or restaurant. But if the smell was...

"Upon arrival the staff member told me that there wasn't any booking even when i showed him my phone with both confirmations from Expedia & the Hotel itself. We didn't get the room we booked. Shambles!!!!"

"We were extremely happy with our stay. The area is lovely and friendly. The property was spotless, cosy and welcoming. Many facilities supplied as extra too. Will definitely return."
