" The overall standard had declined. The shower felt sticky, which was quite unpleasant. I had requested a room with just a double bed, but instead was given a room with an extra twin bed that wasn’t even made. Its presence made the space feel more like a hostel than a comfortable stay, and the setup gave the room an uninviting, poorly presented look. "

"Room appeared OK on first walking in however the beds were extremely uncomfortable, the pillows were the most lumpy pillows I have ever seen - they must be many years old and are extremely uncomfortable. There was no soap available in the soap dispensers. There were white stains on one of the pillows and one of the duvets."

"After a mistake on my part double booking or room, the Check In staff were fantastic and sorted the problem out without any issues. Also the breakfast is fantastic."

"The room was lovely, and the food was tasty but what constitutes ‘breakfast included’ is not clear stated when you sit down. Only filter coffee, which tastes awful, and tea are included - proper coffee, which you would expect included is extra (the waiter told us when we ordered). The Hoxton is a good hotel, but this is penny pinching. "

"Lowest price for area. Easy to find, excellent welcome at reception. Car park underneath easy to use but £18 per night! Rooms small but good, clean with all you need. Bar very poor and food definitely not al la carte but ok. Lady in cafe excellent- guys (not in suits) in restaurant could learn from her about customer service. Lifts speedy. Overall would use again but eat elsewhere. "
