"We had a fantastic stay at Grays Court. The location is perfect, right in the heart of York, making it easy to explore the city while enjoying the peace and charm of this beautiful historic hotel. "Lovely apartment in a historic building, ideally located just outside the city centre, but within easy walking distance of all places of interest in York. Nice touch of leaving a bottle of bubbly in the fridge - a good sign that the hosts are attentive. The apartment itself is well furnished and equipped, and really does feel like a home from home. Overall, thoroughly recommended."

"Staff were very friendly and helpful. Free parking but a little tight. Breakfast with a small fee was excellent. Sink and refrigerator were nice. 2 free water bottles. 10-15 minutes from city center. The room in the loft was not good at all. The ceiling on some parts were so short so I hit my head twice. No window. Only one small skylight"

"Only one criticism I have is about the parking .There are only 2 parking spaces at the B&B this only came to my attention when I had booked and received the welcome email/text .i was lucky while I was staying I managed to get one for the 3 days .Other than its a great place to stay very clean and well maintained ."

"The Minster Hotel is a great place to stay in York. The location is ideal and makes it easy to walk into the city centre. The room that I was given was spacious and had a good bathroom. The staff were friendly and pleasant. The breakfasts were well prepared. I would stay again"

"The hotel is perfectly placed in the centre of York and easy to get to. The staff were lovely and were able to accommodate giving us a lower-level room, which was so helpful (especially when pregnant in a heatwave!). There were lots of options available in the mini bar as well as teas, coffees, etc. The room was very comfortable and clean - we will definitely return next time we come to York."

"Such a lovely guest house, the interiors were absolutely beautiful. Our room was spacious and comfortable, featuring classic period furniture. The bed was very cosy. The bathroom was perfect. The shower was spacious with excellent water pressure. Tasty cooked breakfast. Location was great, about a 20 min walk in to York City Centre. Highly recommend."

The rooms could do with a bit of dressing up with paint and filler but apart from that it was good location and really quiet which is always good after a loud day in town. "A lovely stay a short walk from the city centre. Room was compact but well equipped, just lacking a fridge. The staff were friendly and happy to help."

"Location is the biggest plus. Breakfast is good but noise in our room was a little frustrating. Late night cleanup noise and early morning recycling pickup - perhaps louder than normal because we had to have the window open due to the temps and lack of a/c. The shower though was terrible. Water was slow to drain and we had to be very careful about water splashing and the handle of the sprayer was loose making that very challenging. I may look around more should we return to York."

"As a solo female traveller I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I arrived early and was able to leave my bag at the reception, which was then delivered to my room. The room was spacious, well decorated and clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The hotel was easy to find and is a stones throw away from the train station all the main attractions. I would stay again and recommend to friends and family."
