The rooms were big enough for our family (4 people to each room), the breakfast was amazing, there was actually parking (which we have learned is not always available even when listed), and my kids loved the complimentary hot cocoa."

"The service was wonderful. The staff helped arrange things like taxis and a horse ride and made sure I got breakfast before an early morning tour (excellent scones!). They were especially accommodating on my last day when I was taking a late train, allowing me to shower and have a place to hang out for a little while in the late afternoon. The common areas feel historic but comfortable and well kept. The rooms are mostly updated but if you want a historic feel, be sure to request it. Pretty much all the rooms are a little different. There’s a lovely walled garden onsite and I got selfies with the Highland cows in the neighboring field. Just know that if you don’t have a car, it’s about a £12-14 cab ride from town. "
