"I loved my stay at the Brae. It was the perfect place to get over jet lag as I embarked on a one-month vacation of the U.K. It’s a couple of miles outside of town, and the bus to downtown stops right in front of the house, which was perfect. Very comfortable for sleeping. Having a bath tub to soak in after a day full of walking was heaven. Graeme was an extremely welcoming and informative host. Definitely recommend t

"The property was unfortunately not as advertised and the photos felt very misleading. While the bedding, kitchen and bathroom were clean, overall the place felt quite tired and in need of an upgrade. The walls, carpets and couches all needed a proper clean and there were no base covers on the bed. Which are usually a norm in most homes, so expected in a letting.
There were also several maintenance issues including a broken stair rail and a shower that only worked as a handheld attachment....

"It did not have a balcony which I thought it did but staff was very nice and it’s a bit of walk to attractions. Hot with no AC or air circulation. Overall not great - not terrible"

"A very clean hotel. Rooms were fantastic with the small kitchen and washing machine. Location was excellent as well both from the train station and from the main tourist spots. It is tucked away on a side street, which is quieter and around the corner from a grocery store, take away restaurant and coffee shops. Loved our stay there!"
