"This was our favorite stay in Japan! The staff were the kindest and most helpful people. The room was absolutely gorgeous and so comfortable. We stayed in the river suite (Jitoku) and the sound of the water was so peaceful. The room has an attached private shower/bath, toilet, and sink. "We stayed in several hotels throughout our two week Japan trip, and this hotel (and Kyoto in general) was by far our favorite. It is spotlessly clean and classy. The lofi-jazz playing in the hotel as well as the rooftop lounge was a nice touch. The breakfast every morning was wonderful, and the staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel is walking distance to most of the Gion sites such as Yasaka Pagoda, Kiyomizu-dera Temple and a short taxi or subway ride from Yasaka Temple, Nishiki Market,...

"駅からくるっと回って裏手にあるホテルですが、スタンダードでも2人で泊まってかなり広くゆったりとした客室だったのでゆっくり休めました。 ウォーターサーバーや電子レンジ、自動販売機等も設置されており便利でした。 1階には売店もあって良かったです。 （コンビニはホテルから出て向かいの系列ホテルに設置されていたのでそこも便利）"

"Great hotel opposite Kyoto Station so very handy. Room was spacious which is unusual in Japan. Had a laundry room which was only ¥600 to use although we had to hang up clothes in room as it didn't dry them completely. Loads of good restaurants nearby in station (who would have thought) as well as combinis. Several shopping malls close by as well. Overall a good hotel and one I'd stay at again."

"Room had a little bit smell when we entered but the smell disappeared after the air conditioner was on. There might be unseen flies and I got fly bites twice during our 3 nights stay; the carpet appears rather old, and we felt it was not even when walking on it. We had weak shower spray experience, the showerhead appears to have flower restrictor. Staff are friendly."

"Ace hotel Kyoto is super cool! The staff went above and beyond to extend our stay due to passing typhoons and the hotel is stylish, rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. Great coffee downstairs and some lovely boutique shopping right outside the hotel. Close to trains and not in the crazy touristy area of Kyoto. Our family enjoyed our short stay. Highly recommend if you want to stay in downtown Kyoto."

"Great location walking distance from Universal Studios and train station plenty of shops and restaurants near by. They offer a variety of amenities and we appreciated the baggage storage area prior to check in. Kids enjoyed the free hotdogs and ice cream. Comfortable beds! Staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside of our stay was the elevator situation. During our stay we had to wait for an elevator it seemed like maybe only one was working out of the 4."

"Hotel is in a great location just a few steps from the Hachijo exit of Kyoto station. The room and bathroom was very clean. Good sized room. Breakfast offers a good choice of Japanese and western dishes. The breakfast area can get a little hectic but is well managed. The staff at the hotel are very helpful and kind."

"From the moment we checked in the staff were all very helpful. They greeted us at the taxi, umbrella and all. check in was efficient and quick and everything was clearly explained. Room was beautiful and clean, big space, and nice big windows. We took advantage of the outside patio a lot, very peaceful area to have a drink and sit down to relax. Nothing but good things to say about our stay here."
