"All the hotel staff we encountered were friendly and helpful from arrival to departure which made for an enjoyable stay. Our room was a good size with a four poster bed and a nice view to the front of the property. The hotel public areas looked great and were well kept. "Dirt in the room and under the bed. Staff generally good. Booking came with a room upgrade due to status. Room upgrade didn’t occur despite the hotel being empty and having availability on their website.
Emailed the hotel through Expedia app (replying to the message they sent me) asking questions. That was ignored and not responded to.
Dinner food quality was poor considering my the level they quote themselves to be at and prices charged. Ice cream for dessert clearly suffering from freezer burn...

However, due to the layout and lack of lifts it meant a really long walk from our room to the main reception area.
The Hotel seemed to have a lack of staff - the very nice mature lady at reception, was multitasking and ended up carrying our bags up to the room. This staff shortage manifested itself later when we went to have dinner - to be told that the gas was off in the kitchen and...
