"An absolute gem of a spot! You will not be disappointed with this well managed and beautiful situated inn on Lake Arenal. Quaint yellow cottages with gorgeous views, an infinity pool and hot tub, ancient looking artifacts, fanciful paintings and a welcoming staff make this place unique and relaxing. We added an extra night just to take advantage of the views from our porch and our lovely room. Sunsets are the highlight of the day. Breakfast is included at the restaurant with bar on site....

"Our La Fortuna stay included four hotels the springs, nayara, mi amor, and tabacon. Tabacon Resort/room is roughly 4 star. Staff is polite from check in to breakfast, 5 star. The thermal springs are 5 star and phenomenal, best/largest on our trip by far. The access to shangri-la area in the springs, when staying at the hotel, makes it worth it. "Pour ce court passage à Monteverde, nous avons choisi une chambre privée qui était très propre, avec une salle de bain complète et privée et un lit vraiment très confortable! L'accueil à été génial. L'ambiance est plutôt calme et axé sur de belles habitudes de vie saine. Le café/ restaurant adjacent est vraiment délicieux!! Une fois stationné, tout est accessible à pied. "It was a lovely place that was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the hot tubs and the wet bar. They have a restaurant with live music in the evenings. We loved their buffet style breakfast especially because it slightly changed daily. You’re not stuck eating the same thing everyday. The staff was great, we felt welcomed and they answered all of our questions."

"omg this place is a paradise!! its such a small resort (like 30 rooms) however, it has like 8 pools, most of them thermal springs, the rooms are absolutely beautiful and the bathrooms are so spacious and clean! luxury and the staff is soooo nice! the breakast food was delicious!! 7 am breakfast everyday. we had dinner there once (not included in price) and that too was delicious. I honestly will book again, because i felt like i was in paradise!!"
