"Amazing"

"I traveled here with my husband and 10 month old daughter. This was an amazing family friendly resort, they provided a crib and high chair in our room. The food was amazing, and the service was great. Our only complaint was that we booked the all inclusive package, but after every drink, and every meal, we were asked to sign a tab, where the staff would ask for a tip and automatically have the machine at 20%. If you didn’t tip, they remembered for the next time. The point of an all inclusive trip is to not have to sign for every drink / meal you get and you shouldn’t be expected to tip on every single order - we already paid. Additionally, the 20% was 20% of what it would have cost if we weren’t all inclusive, as you can imagine that 20% adds up extremely fast. I like to tip in cash, and we are good tippers - but it was off putting and awkward being asked to tip after every single drink and meal - I have never been to a resort like this. It also made us not want to to go to certain restaurants and bars because those staff members made it awkward if we didn’t tip 20% like it was expected - when we already paid the all inclusive fee. If this were to be fixed, this would have been the perfect resort! "

"We had an amazing stay at Excellence Playa Mujeres in Mexico and would absolutely come back again. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel completely at ease. The property itself is beautiful—well-maintained, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with a relaxing atmosphere that really lets you unwind."

"I paid for an all-inclusive trip meeting. I don’t have to pay for anything, but what I paid for to get there I was unable to eat at any restaurant on the property due to lack of information provided by the staff of when to eat or where to eat or what to where to eat. I was giving information on one thing follow those instructions got to a restaurant only to be turned away due to lack of room, or I was underdressed when in fact, there were people eating that we were wearing the same thing I was I was given a reservation for a restaurant the hibachi place I showed up for my reservation and they did not have me on the list so I could not eat there I did not eat from any restaurant except for breakfast at the resort my whole visit I would not recommend going to this resort to anyone of my friend. I will never be back again, and I was was not compensated in any way for the fact that the first day I got there was supposed to be at 1 PM. I didn’t get there till 5 PM because of 2 1/2 hour ride from the airport to the resort when it was supposed to be 21 minutes and then I finally got the resort. Nobody informed me of anything about the hotel got to my room by myself without instructions on how to use the electrical panel that supposedly operated everything in the room so I didn’t know how to put up the shades or open the windows or anything. The outside awning was broken. The inside awning was broken so my secondary resort there was maintenance people in and out of my room all day "

"Good food"

"There is no beach view, but a nice view of the coast and a lighthouse is next door. The hotel is "rustic", which makes it interesting, but old and not that well maintained. We decided to changes hotels half way through and could not get any refund, but left anyway. By the way, no one speaks English."

"The Good:The resort and rooms are absolutely stunning with a true 5-star aesthetic. The property is visually beautiful and well-maintained. The Not-So-Good: Kid-Friendliness: A huge miss for parents. Pool service (food/drinks) doesn’t start until 11:00 AM. We were there by 9:00 AM, and by the time food arrived, the kids were hangry. Even towels and water are DIY until 11:00 AM. Dining: Food quality was "meh" at best. On the all-inclusive plan, drinks were watered down, though tipping generously helped. Arrival Logistics: Check-in was slow and frustrating; staff seemed indifferent to restless kids after a long flight. Transfers: The paid "private" airport transfer was disappointing. It functioned like a shuttle rather than an assigned driver, leading to more unnecessary waiting. Verdict: Beautiful resort, but the service logistics and rigid hours made it difficult for families with young children"
