"Room was lovely with a fireplace and a balcony overlooking the garden. The property is historic, but the bathrooms have been remodeled, so are modern. The location is fantastic--easy walk to Fishermans Wharf, restaurants and historic sites, right in Old Town Monterey. Staff were lovely. The breakfast was fine. No room service or luxury hotel amenities, but to me the charm and historic ambiance more than make up for that. "

"Victorian hotel with ocean views. Right across the street from the ocean. Open your windows at night and listen to the ocean and let it ease you into sleep. Take a short walk to Lover’s Point, the beach or dining. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. Can’t wait to return"

"Area is ideal for anyone seeking beach views and downtown walks. Felt like it was a good location to have the most tourist-y experience while getting enough downtime from all the activities. We appreciate the staff for informing us that we forgot our laptop and then shipping it a week later. They offer yogurt parfait for bfast and wine around 4-6pm!"
