"The staff might just be the friendliest in Great Britain. It made the stay a delight and we used the great conservatory space to watch a Christmas movie with our little one. Great food and great beer/wine. You need a car to access all the local things (Runswick Bay/Whitby/Scarborough/Moors) but we will come back each year as we love it. "

"Breakfast not bad,evening meal can only be 2 courses or 3 courses.We found the food quite bland and the amount of flies in the eating area was not good,at breakfast time the flies were on the croissants and pastries.Comfortable bed but cobwebs on ceilings in double room,no toiletries in bathroom now,staff advised that they stopped supplying them recently.Had to drive to Asda to purchase some."

"Lovely large house with self contained rooms which had everything you would need for an overnight stay The actual house was warm when we arrived but our room was freezing. There was a radiator in the room but it was off and didn't come on when the valve was turned to warm We were actually sat with our coats on before we left to go out"

"Lovely spacious room. Very clean. Slight mix up with keys on arrival, but was sorted after phone call. Only minor grumble, advertised as having toiletries but there wasnt any."

"Great location for Saltburn & Whitby, lovely, quiet village. Sunday lunch was delicious, big portions, very good value for money. Would highly recommend. The room was clean & very comfortable with fantastic views. The bed was very comfy too. The staff were all very friendly and attentative. Will definitely visit again. "
