"The stay at Mulgrave Country Cottage was wonderful. A beautiful house and gardens, peaceful and tranquil. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was fresh, well presented and very tasty. I would highly recommend a visit and we will definitely be returning "

"Great location for getting around Whitby. Shame about lack of car parking. Shower drain in our room was prone to blocking. Concerned it might flood the downstairs. We did mention it to staff. Overall a pleasant stay. Might be an idea to mention the stairs leading to upper room as less mobile guests may struggle"

"Lovely country hotel with large garden and free parking. Our room had a comfortable bed,fridge, fan and tv . The bathroom was clean with extra large towels. We ate at restaurant for 3 evenings. Menu had a good choice of meals and food was lovely. Restaurant was very busy so pre booking advised. We had a great breakfast each day with hot and cold selections. Bus stops outside to Whitby and Saltburn which was a bonus. Lovely hotel with wonderful staff and we would definately stay again"

"For the cost of the room I expected more modern decor and room facilities. Very basic bath/shower combo, basic tea making facilities and dated decor/room furniture. The view from the room was fantastic but the view alone shouldn’t warrant such high prices."

I went to the dining area at 8pm only to be told that the kitchen had closed for the evening so I was unable to get anything to eat that evening although I was offered crisps. "Lovely spacious room, decent price, quick responses to all my enquiries and parking for 48 hours at £3 is a bonus!! Only downfall was the shower was a bit dirty and dusty, other than that it's a great place to stay, close to the sea front and town centre! Would stay again! :)"
