"I am so glad i found the FCI for our first trip to the Outer Banks. We really enjoyed our six night stay there during the last week of October. Our room was perfect for us and the yummy hot breakfast every morning was amazing. We chose a historic inn rather than a hotel or airbnb because we like the more personal touch an Inn provides. Lisa, the innkeeper, was very helpful and friendly. Beth, the Manager and breakfast chef was super hospitable. With the beach just a short walk away...we...

"As an older hotel, it has a few cosmetic things but nothing major. Very quiet but also off season- great rate!! We had an issue with the blow dryer which was taken care of very quickly by maintenance. Enjoyed our stay"

It's very convenient to the Outer Banks and Alligator River NWR so it's perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, birders (like me!), and wildlife photographers. "

"We go to the OBX about twice a year and choose to stay here every time. The room is always spotless. Staff is friendly and helpful. My 15 year old grandson loved spending time in the exercise room. Pool and the hot tub are well maintained.Reasonably priced for all they offer. I like helping a locally owned business as opposed to a chain."

"The staff and especially Olga the Manager went above and beyond the call of duty. That's why I stay there year after year. The lobby is like going into a ski resort with knotty pine walls and a fire going when the outside temperature is below 50 degrees. Long time employee Tommy is always friendly and helpful ."
