My grandmother lived in the same neighborhood as Sunnyside and I had no idea and I know she would be happy that I ended up in the Hands of such a beautiful soul. She cooks like an amazing southern chef and is so hospitable. She has two very friendly and beautiful dogs and makes you feel right at home. "First, I thought I booked a king-size bed, but we ended up with a queen-size in a very small room. Your site said there was an elevator but we got there to discover it wasn’t functioning. I managed the stairs, but I do have mobility problems and was frustrated there was no elevator. We didn’t mind the policy of no shoes, but the mat in front of the door was wet from rain, and we ended up with wet socks. "This is a perfect place to relax. The beds are wonderful. The host goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome. His breakfast was outstanding. The cottage has two porches to relax and have a glass of wine, read a book, or just have a quiet conversation. Any time you are in Natchez, MS. "Opponent arrival, I used the lobby restroom, which had flies and bugs in it. The furniture in the lobby was filthy and worn out. I arrived an hour early and they said they still had not cleaned the room yet so I said I would gladly wait. Upon a visual inspection of the room after they cleaned it, it had been hastily done. Sheets were not changed and everything reeked of some industrial cleaning fluid. Expedia did give me a $25 return of my money that I used on an alternate hotel that evening....

"The stay was okay but the room was not very well kept, walls and furniture is worn. Ring in the toilet bowl and dingey shower. The fridge made a low hum all night and cabinets were disheveled. Beds were uncomfortable. Staff is nice and accommodating. Pool was nice. All in all an okay stay for one night but would not do it again."

The front desk clerk told us to always call the hotel direct when booking through a third party. We had checked the hotel's website and the River View rooms were available, so we booked. We did accept a City View room with 2 Queen beds. Once in the room quickly discovered the room had recently been smoked in. We can accept the disappointment of not having a room...
