"The Cherokee Lodge is a lovely, charming little cottage just a few minutes walk to everything fun in Coronado. My daughter and I stayed in room 9 which is very small but plenty of room for the two of us. Our first night was fine aside from the fact the refrigerator in the room did not work but our second was awful. The air conditioning unit kept over heating and blowed hot air. "Everything was great. We were in two different rooms and they were both very nice, especially the second one which was a King suite with a sofa bed. Great location with two balconies and a great view to the outside concert venue next door (free concert!). If I had to complain about anything, it would be the bathroom (in both rooms) and the carpet on the staircase leading to the second floor. "The room was not up-kept. The whole place is dated. There’s cracks and unsealed areas where bugs get in. Many mosquitos in the room. Ants crawling on the walls and in the beds. Not boutique, more like bare minimum. No staff on site, air conditioning is loud, and parking is 4 spots."

"Extremely busy corner intersection, rush hour traffic all day long. Bring earplugs or sound machine to sleep. Rooms are not well maintained and the outdoor patio was super dirty, I had to use baby wipes to spot clean cushions and table. This area is vital for the guests who get the rooms that are so small only 2 beds fit, you will not see a picture of this room on the website #110. "This hotel was a hidden gem in a great location on Coronado Island. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast had a different main entree every day and the eggs seemed freshly made rather than prepackaged like a lot of hotel eggs. There was so much variety of breakfast items you could fuel up until an early dinner."

"Stay away from this dump. The pictures make it look like it is industrial chic but it's really prison cell grade accommodations. The guy in the room next to ours showed us a giant water bug he found in his room. We checked out immediately. They rely on people falling for the false images they show of the rooms. This place would be better used as shelter for the many homeless around the hotel."

"I booked this hotel specifically because it stated that it was pet friendly and had a pool. The pet fee per night was the equivalent of one nights stay at the hotel, which is ridiculously expensive. There is no pool on the property. You have to walk a couple of blocks to access the pool, which is located inside of a gym. Lastly, parking on the street is about 10$ an hour. So you do the math. Had I known about any of these extra charges, I would have not stayed here. Way overpriced"

"We had a great stay. The location was great with lots of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Very clean and beautiful hotel that preserves and honors the history. Friendly staff at the desk, in the restaurant, and doing the housekeeping. We will be coming back whenever we are in the area."
